Paramount+ Adds Multiview for Champions League, Finally Catching Up to Rivals

Paramount+ is finally rolling out a multiview feature, allowing subscribers to watch up to four matches at once, a long-awaited tool for sports fans. The feature will debut on September 16, just in time for the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League season, as the service plays catch-up with competitors.

  • Read the fine print: The feature is launching with a few catches, being exclusive to UEFA competitions and only on desktop browsers for now. Unlike some rivals with pre-set grids, Paramount's version gives users full control to build their own quad-box from any of the available live games, a detail confirmed by The Streamable. All matches stream on Paramount+, with select games airing on CBS Sports Network and the free CBS Sports Golazo Network.
  • The bigger picture: The feature isn't just for sports. Paramount plans to expand multiview to its news and entertainment catalog in the coming months, according to Variety. This move suggests the tool is becoming a core part of the platform's strategy, not just a seasonal gimmick.

Multiview has become a must-have for any streamer serious about live sports. For Paramount+, this isn't about innovation; it's about closing a critical feature gap with rivals and finally meeting the expectations of dedicated fans.

  • More ways to watch: As it adds new features, Paramount is also experimenting with different content formats to supplement its live sports coverage. The service has offered alternate "watch-along" broadcasts featuring David Beckham and celebrity guests, and it's producing original sports docuseries like Destination London to build fan engagement beyond the live ninety minutes.
